tHoC is an animation studio and school based in Holborn, London UK. We offer animation and visual effects for film and television, as well as previsulisation and consultancy. As part of our interest in animation education we frequently speak at universities and colleges worldwide, as well as create articles for industry magazines such as 3D World and Imagine.

andrew daffy - co director

Daffy started working at Framestore as a Junior Animator in 1996.  After earning the position as Head of 3D Commercials, his previz techniques were put to full effect on the Levi’s ‘Odyssey’ commercial directed by Jonathan Glazer. He was also a major player in BBC’s ‘Walking With Dinosaurs’ and two James Bond title sequences. His projects accumulated over 30 awards and helped put Framestore firmly on the map. Since then he founded The House of Curves, which turned 5 last December.

matt estela - co director

Matt started his 3d career working for animation companies in Sydney, and then moved to the UK to work with acclaimed artist/sculptor Ron Mueck.
He moved onto being VFX supervisor for award winning and Bafta nominated Jackanory specials for the BBC. Matt joined tHoC over a year ago and is currently developing a photoreal human pipeline structure which will be used to realise the upcoming short film Swivel Head Ted.
He also actively freelances for many studios in London including Framestore CFC and The Mill. His latest work includes the hit commercials Orange ‘ORIGAMI’ and Ford ‘BIRDS’.
